A faith adventure is a ministry experience for the people of Mariners Church to engage with our global church partners. In Haiti, our church partner is Pastor Samuel Metelus. His church — Communauté de Gloire — is located in Torbeck in southern Haiti, approximately 5 hours by bus from Port-au-Prince.
Several times per year we send volunteer teams (up to 15 people) to Haiti to work alongside Pastor Samuel and his team for a week at a time. No prior experience is necessary, just a heart for what God is doing in Haiti and a willingness to serve.
For more information or to request an application, please contact Allison Crawford, Faith Adventure Coordinator, Mariners Church.
2019 Summer / HSM
June 23-30, 2019
For the last 6 years, Mariners has taken high school students on a Faith Adventure to Haiti. This trip is an incredible opportunity for Mariners HSM students to really grasp what it looks like to be the hands and feet of Jesus outside the walls of the church.
High school students only! Click here for full details.
Postponed / Teachers
This is a closed trip organized by Troy Moore, Head of School, Mariners Christian School.
What’s exciting about this trip is that it is the first in what we hope will be a long relationship between Pastor Samuel’s College Lumiere and Mariners Christian School. For more details about the relationship, read our blog post entitled 2018 School Progress Report.
