Kids Daily Challenge – Thursday
VBS Home Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday
Walking is by far Haiti’s most common mode of transportation. Published stats show fewer than 0.4% of the population owns a car. Today, we’re encouraging our kids to walk somewhere they would normally drive to in a car.
Imagine walking home from the grocery store with all your purchases. In Haiti, most groceries are carried by hand, on the head, or by donkey or cart (see photos below).
Parents, please email us photos of your kids doing their daily challenges! Each day, we’ll show these photos on the screen as your kids arrive and depart Outreach Island. There are email links on every page of the Outreach Island Parent Portal.

Women carry mangoes on their heads as they walk to the market, where women sell whatever they have to earn a little money for their families.

This outdoor market is less than 1/2 mile from the Glory Glory Center. This is where the house moms come to buy food, clothing, toiletries, cooking oil, etc.

This women heads to market with all of her goods to sell, along with the table she’ll use to display her wares.
