Haiti — Night of Prayer
Wednesday, November 9, 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Upper Room, Mariners Church, Irvine
You’re invited to join the Haiti Ministry in a night of prayer for our Haitian church partner and the people of Haiti as they begin the slow process of recovery following Hurricane Matthew.
On October 4, Matthew roared across southern Haiti as a Category 4 hurricane, dumping up to 40 inches of rain in some places with winds of 140 miles an hour. The Glory Glory Center in Torbeck (west of Les Cayes) sat right in the hurricane’s path. Praise be to God, our church partner Pastor Samuel, his staff, and the 55 children at the center all survived the storm, though the center and the community experienced devastating loss. Crops and livestock are gone, homes are destroyed, food is scarce, and water is contaminated throughout the region.
Please join us on November 9 as we spend time in worship and prayer, thanking the Lord for the hand of protection he extended our Haitian family during the storm, and asking for His continued protection and provision for Pastor Samuel, the kids, and the Haitian nation.
